Terms of Service
Enrolment is a student membership. EmergencyHousing.CA may refuse, suspend, revoke, or delete a member at any time.
1. Who we are and what this program is
EmergencyHousing.CA offers the Intensive Housing Based Case Manager (IHBCMGR) certificate program at no charge. This resource replaces EmergencyHousing.CA's previous Training Certification Program. The IHBCMGR mark is an organizational endorsement and a public registry listing. It is not a licence from a statutory college, the Law Society of Ontario, or the Government of Ontario, and it does not create employment, insurance, or an agency relationship with EmergencyHousing.CA.
2. Student enrolment
Creating an account enrols you as a student in the Intensive Housing Based Case Manager program. Program administration is reserved to EmergencyHousing.CA. Membership, registry listings, and examination records are administered under these Terms.
3. Eligibility, identity, and honesty
You must enrol in your own name and use an email you control. Fictitious identities, another person's identity, fabricated community-service attestations, and holding out a false designation are grounds for immediate revocation. You will not share your sign-in. You will complete the modules, practicum files, naloxone drill, community service, and examination yourself.
4. Terms you accept by enrolling
By creating an account, accepting the ethical covenant, or using the academy, you agree to these Terms of Service (version 2026.1), the IHBCMGR ethical covenant, and the privacy notice. If you do not agree, do not enrol. EmergencyHousing.CA may update these terms; continued use after a posted change is acceptance of the current version.
5. Revocation at any time
EmergencyHousing.CA may refuse an enrolment, suspend a membership, revoke a membership, remove a public registry listing, void examination attempts, and permanently delete an account and training record at any time, with or without prior notice, and at its sole discretion. Grounds include — without limitation — fictitious or fraudulent enrolment, exam cheating or item reconstruction, ethical breach, holding out beyond the designation, abuse of the platform, or any other reason EmergencyHousing.CA considers incompatible with the IHBCMGR standard. Revocation does not require a hearing. A revoked membership ends academy access and withdraws any public listing. To ask a question about a decision, write [email protected].
6. Public registry — prudent information only
On passing, only legal name, designation, issue date, and certificate code are published. Organization, email, region, and preferred name are not published. Listings may be hidden or removed by the registrar at any time. A member may write [email protected] to change or remove their own details. Third parties may verify a code; a withdrawn listing will not verify.
7. No fee, no employment, no licence
The program is free. Completion does not create employment, volunteer status, professional insurance, or a right to work under any statute. You will not hold out as a social worker, psychotherapist, lawyer, or physician on the strength of this certificate. When a file requires a licensee, you will refer.
8. Platform integrity and security
The examination is randomized, timed, and integrity-monitored. Focus-loss, copying, printing, developer tools, and impossibly fast answering can void an attempt. Voided attempts count toward the attempt limit. Circumventing gates, sharing items, or attacking the service is forbidden and is grounds for revocation and, where appropriate, a report to authorities.
9. Educational content and third-party tools
Curriculum, screeners, and toolkits are educational. They are not legal advice, a benefits determination, or a clinical diagnosis. Benefit pre-screening tools (including ODSP, Ontario Works, Canada-Ontario Housing Benefit, Disability Tax Credit T2201, Canada Dental Care Plan, RDSP, and Social Benefits Tribunal orientation) do not file applications and do not bind any ministry or agency. Official links are provided so you can take a person to the right door.
10. Limitation of liability
The program is provided as-is for education in a housing crisis. To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, EmergencyHousing.CA is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from enrolment, revocation, a registry listing or its removal, or reliance on educational material. You remain responsible for your own practice, supervision, and statutory duties (including the duty to report a child in need of protection).
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes are subject to the courts of Ontario.
