Emergency shelter and coordinated access
A bed tonight is a safety right, not a behaviour test. Housing First: you do not have to be sober, employed, or “ready” to be housed. Coordinated access should not become a maze. If a shelter refuses you because of disability, gender, family status, or ODSP, that is a Code problem. Pets, couples, youth 16/17, and wheelchair users are routinely unlawfully screened out — name the barrier and ask for accommodation.
