Youth 16 and 17 — the right to a home

In Ontario, 16- and 17-year-olds can often sign a lease and be tenants. You should not be bounced between CAS and shelter intake. A Way Home Canada, local youth shelters, and clinics can help. Housing First for youth means a home without a “readiness” maze. If you are unsafe at home, you do not have to go back.
